Saul Company Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of the largest private real estate company in the Washington, D.C. area with over 130 years of operation, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for our Embassy Suites By Hilton Dulles Airport in Herndon, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, dedicated to making a difference, and skilled in recruitment and team engagement. The position supports the human resource function for the hotel, providing generalist services and contributing to our "One Team!" philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Compensation/Benefits: Assists with wage surveys, processes team member increases, and manages compensation/benefits for hourly and salaried employees.
- Recruitment/Retention: Supports hiring and retention, ensures fair practices, manages new-hire paperwork, and assists with recognition programs and Team Member Satisfaction Surveys.
- Team Member Relations: Ensures compliance with laws, supports effective relations, and assists with performance management.
- Cost Control: Tracks expenses, manages labor costs using Kronos and UltiPro, and follows procurement guidelines.
- Training: Assists in administering and delivering training programs, adhering to company policies.
- Safety/Risk Management: Supports workers’ compensation and maintains a safe work environment.
- Self/Workload Management: Manages workload, communicates clearly, promotes collaboration, and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Experience: Two+ years of HR experience required; hospitality or service industry experience strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, professional presence, ATS experience (Lever or similar), and HRIS experience (UKG Pro or similar).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.
Pay
$23 - $24 per hour. Actual pay is determined by qualifications, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Total compensation includes healthcare, 401(k), disability coverage, life insurance, and bonus plans.
