Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in all areas of HR, including employment, communication, onboarding, badging/licensing, fingerprinting, training administration, electronic recordkeeping, and team member events.
  • Maintain general office, front counter, lobby area, and computer lab to ensure they are neat, clean, orderly, and well-stocked.
  • Handle team member questions and requests, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining employee records, data input, research, preparing reports, team member/vendor badges, gaming licensing, and renewals.
  • Assist in coordinating onboarding and New Hire Orientation.
  • Provide fingerprinting services to applicants and the general public.
  • Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude with a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor toward all team members, applicants, and guests.
  • Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within your area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
  • Assist with other HR projects and events as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service position; previous experience in Human Resources is desired.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); experience with iCIMS and Ultipro is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional customer service focus with attention to producing quality results.
  • Approach team member questions and concerns in a caring, confidential, and helpful manner, with discretion to escalate issues to HR business partners when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and basic financial transactions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Employees must obtain and maintain all licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to a West Virginia Lottery License and a West Virginia Racing Commission License.
  • Employees must qualify as a Notary Public in West Virginia and obtain certification through the Company's screening vendor to administer screening and fingerprinting services.
  • All required licenses, permits, and certifications will be facilitated and paid for by the Company and are not required prior to employment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, including confined spaces.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Employee will be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted secondhand tobacco smoke.
