Human Resources Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Perform customer service functions by addressing employee requests and questions related to benefits, time off, and policies/procedures.
- Execute general clerical duties, including correspondence, reports, employee paperwork, data entry, travel booking, front desk interactions, and filing.
- Aid in the recruitment and selection process by posting open positions, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, issuing rejection notices or offer letters, and coordinating preemployment paperwork.
- Verify I-9 documentation using E-Verify and maintain I-9, EEO, and VETS books in compliance.
- Administer corporate health insurance and benefits programs.
- Update and maintain logs for applicants/new hires, terminations, workers' compensation, recruiting, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain and order Labor Law Posters for all office locations.
- Aid in new hire onboarding by explaining paperwork, performing employee handbook overviews, and managing benefits enrollment.
- Afford assistance in off-boarding procedures.
- Manage workers’ compensation injury claims, file reports with insurance providers, and monitor progress.
- Respond to information requests from governmental agencies such as Unemployment Compensation.
- Cook up and update Microsoft Outlook, HRIS communications, and bulletin board updates.
- Manage inventory for job fairs, new hire, and service award items.
- Ensure regular, predictable attendance.
Requirements
- Human resources knowledge with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Basic knowledge of HR practices, recruitment, benefits, and employee relations.
Qualifications
- Experience using an HRIS is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Experience creating reports and providing data.
- Skill in managing interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues.
Work Environment
The position is based in a clean, quiet, and comfortable manufacturing facility with an office/front desk located at the front area of the building. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during 1st shift hours. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $55,000.00/yr. Benefits include 401(k) 401(k) matching, dental insurance, employee assistance program, health insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, referral program, tuition reimbursement, vision insurance, and workplace type: fully onsite in Akron, PA.
