Human Resources Compliance Specialist - AD291
About the role
The Human Resources Compliance Specialist supports HR operations by coordinating onboarding, personnel documentation, HR compliance tracking, employee records, required reporting, and administrative HR processes. This position serves as a key point of contact for HR-related processes and helps ensure documentation is accurate, complete, confidential, and maintained in accordance with NARA NW policies and applicable employment requirements.
Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates new employee orientation once per month over two days, ensuring onboarding documents are completed timely, and follows up with recruiters and new employees.
- Tracks and maintains required employee documentation, including CPR cards, training certificates, TB/HEP B/MMR documentation, driving verification, and other compliance-related records.
- Maintains accurate and complete personnel records and HR documentation.
- Affirms and processes Personnel Action Forms for employee changes, including position, wage, status, and other employment changes.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee and organizational information.
- Monitors the HR inbox and routes employee, manager, benefits, leave, payroll, recruitment, and compliance-related inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
- Supports contractor and intern onboarding.
- Assists with HR reporting, audits, OSHA recordkeeping, employee verification requests, and other HR compliance processes.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in a compliance-focused role, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Paycom, is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required. Experience with HRIS systems and familiarity with federal and state employment laws are preferred.

Pay
$68,000.00 – $72,000.00 annual salary, Exempt
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Hybrid flexibility after 6 months of employment.
