Job Summary

PACCAR Engine Company is seeking a Communications & Training Manager to lead enterprise-wide training programs and strategic internal communications initiatives.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work with various departments to develop and deliver trainings, focusing on onboarding and production team members.
  • Develop and coordinate training programs for managers, supervisors, and employees, including curriculum design, development, and facilitation.
  • Train or facilitate classes solo or with subject matter experts, and assist with pre-hire and new-hire training/testing.
  • Prepare and maintain training materials and documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
  • Adapt training techniques to different learning styles and develop train the trainer courses covering soft skills, team building, facilitation, and visualization.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback as needed.
  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Safety, Facilities, and Quality to develop and evaluate SOPs, addressing training gaps for new or existing work processes.
  • Directly or indirectly supervise shop level trainers and manage multiple shifts and departments.
  • Create and manage PACCAR Engine Company HR marketing communications, including newsletters, graphics, flyers, and other materials.
  • Optimize communication channels using advanced technology and partner with HR on priority communication areas like benefits, talent programs, safety, and employee events.
  • Support internal training material creation and delivery, using PowerPoint and videos, and manage various vendors for communication and HR/employee events.
  • Take photos at internal events and coordinate employee professional pictures.
  • Manage HR SharePoint and employee portal, promoting events that reflect PACCAR's ethical and professional image.
  • Create and execute internal communication strategies, developing messaging for key initiatives and policy updates.
  • Ensure consistency across organizational communication channels and lead change management and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and job aids, and communicate clear, concise messages across multiple platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Training, Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or HR.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Dedication to providing superior customer service.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
  • Aesthetic sensibility and flexibility.
