About the role

The position is at a tech company. The HR Director acts as a strategic advisor to our sales organization, partnering with business leaders to execute the company's people strategy. This role aligns HR initiatives with business priorities, leads talent management efforts, and cultivates a high-performing, inclusive workplace while collaborating with stakeholders across the sales organization to implement effective HR programs and practices. Working closely with Sales executives and key business partners, the HR Director provides strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and performance management. The role is responsible for aligning People & Culture priorities with business objectives, driving talent outcomes, and leading cross-functional initiatives that strengthen the sales organization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a global, fast-paced, and rapidly evolving technical environment with a strong background supporting high-growth, sales-focused organizations. A solid understanding of sales compensation structures, performance metrics, and sales strategy is essential. Success in this role requires demonstrated expertise in organizational transformation, leadership development, workforce planning, and influencing stakeholders at all levels within a global sales organization. Approximately 20% travel is required.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership by delivering strategic HR guidance that supports business objectives, organizational effectiveness, and workforce success.
  • Talent Management: Lead initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and workforce design while identifying critical roles and developing high-potential talent.
  • Organizational Development: Drive organizational change initiatives that improve business agility, strengthen team effectiveness, and foster a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement.
  • Employee Relations & Performance: Partner with Employee Relations to address complex workplace matters, ensure compliance, and coach managers on performance management, goal setting, and ongoing employee development.
  • Training & Development: Identify leadership and capability gaps while supporting managers through coaching and development programs that strengthen organizational readiness.
  • DEI & Collaboration: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle while partnering with People & Culture Centers of Excellence to deliver scalable and consistent HR programs.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within global, high-growth, sales-driven, or technology organizations, including senior HR Business Partner experience supporting executive leadership. Experience supporting Latin America and Canada is an advantage.
  • Talent Programs: Demonstrated success designing and implementing leadership development, succession planning, capability-building, and talent management initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations while influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • HR & Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR strategy, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, sales-focused HR practices, change management, and HR technology platforms, with Workday experience preferred.
  • Strategic & Program Leadership: Proven ability to connect people strategies with business priorities while leading large-scale HR programs and developing scalable frameworks that support organizational growth.
  • Communication & Relationship Skills: Exceptional executive communication, relationship management, and emotional intelligence with the ability to establish credibility and influence senior business leaders.
  • Agility, Analytics & Inclusion: Comfortable leading through ambiguity and organizational change, with strong analytical capabilities and a demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable workplace practices.

$171k to $319k annually.
