About the role

At Tsunami Express Car Wash, our Senior HR Generalist is a key driver of employee support, leadership development, and operational success across multiple locations. You’ll partner closely with leaders, support employees, influence workplace culture, and help shape the future of our growing organization. Our HR Generalist plays a critical role in creating consistency, strengthening employee relations, supporting performance management, and ensuring our teams have the guidance and resources needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Manager Support
    • Serve as the primary HR contact for managers and employees across assigned locations or departments
    • Provide coaching and guidance related to employee relations matters, performance concerns, attendance issues, corrective actions, and workplace conflict
    • Conduct investigations and document findings appropriately
    • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
    • Support conflict resolution and promote positive employee relations
  • Performance Management
    • Assist managers with performance coaching, documentation, and corrective action processes
    • Support performance improvement plans and follow-up conversations
    • Ensure consistency and compliance in disciplinary practices
  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Support onboarding and new hire processes
    • Assist with leave administration and accommodation processes
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state employment laws, and HR best practices
    • Maintain accurate employee documentation and HR records
    • Support unemployment claims, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed
  • Leadership Partnership
    • Build strong relationships with site leaders and provide proactive HR support
    • Help identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement within assigned areas
    • Support employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives
    • Assist with implementation of HR programs and initiatives across the organization
  • Recruiting & Staffing Support
    • Partner with recruiting on staffing needs and hiring support as needed
    • Assist managers with interview guidance and hiring best practices
    • Support onboarding transition and new hire integration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience required
  • Experience handling employee relations and investigations required
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-site or field HR support experience
  • Experience in high-volume or hourly workforce environments
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Remote working environment with ability to travel as needed
  • Occasional evening or weekend support may be required based on business needs
  • On-call availability for urgent support
