Human Resources Associate (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About the role
Functions as a supportive and cooperative part of the Human Resources team in providing the best potential customer service, with specific knowledge in assigned functional HR area.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Human Resources team in providing customer service
- Assists with administrative tasks as assigned
- Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Provides guidance and support to employees as needed
Requirements
- Four years of recent experience in Human Resources, Payroll or related field.
- OR An Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field AND two years of related experience.
- Knowledge and ability to use spreadsheet, database, word processing, HRIS or equivalent programs.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- Prior to start date, FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule and overtime as needed.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field.
- Experience in a school district setting.
- Professional HR Certification (such as PHR).

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
