Position Summary
The Human Resources Associate provides administrative and operational support across key HR functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, and employee programs. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Career Development
- Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires, including offer documentation, background checks, new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and system access requests.
- Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Manage employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, termination documentation and benefits notifications.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Payroll Administration
- Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Review and validate employee time records, compensation changes, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Partner with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll processes run smoothly.
- HR Programs & Employee Support
- Coordinate and oversee HR programs, including internship programs, employee engagement initiatives, and other talent development activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interns, supporting recruitment, onboarding, program administration, and performance feedback processes.
- Aid in benefits administration, employee communications, and HR-related reporting.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, payroll, and HR program participation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support audits and other HR compliance initiatives as needed.
- Aid in special projects and other HR-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, payroll administration, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and payroll processes.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred. Paylocity preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
