This position ensures smooth coordination of HR activities such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and record-keeping, while bridging language barriers to serve a diverse workforce. The assistant will contribute to maintaining compliance with company policies and labor regulations, helping to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. By managing confidential information with discretion and accuracy, the role supports HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Proficiency with ADP preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HR information systems or databases. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar industrial setting. Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices relevant to the manufacturing sector. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and payroll software. Certification or coursework in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Customer service experience that demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with diverse employee populations. Responsibilities Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews with candidates and hiring managers. Support onboarding activities including preparing new hire documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of required paperwork. Maintain and update employee records in HR information systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of personnel data. Serve as a bilingual point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns in both English and Spanish. Coordinate employee training sessions and assist in tracking attendance and completion of mandatory compliance programs. Help prepare HR reports and documentation required for audits, compliance, and management review. Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee information. Support employee engagement initiatives and assist in organizing company events and communications. Skills The bilingual English/Spanish skills are essential for daily communication with employees and management, ensuring clear understanding and resolution of HR-related inquiries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems enables efficient management of employee records, reporting, and documentation.
