About the role
Kavaliro is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our client's HR team. In this role, you'll help ensure a positive employee experience by assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, HR administration, and general office support. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across a variety of Human Resources functions, ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by posting open positions, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Support the onboarding experience by preparing new hire paperwork, scheduling orientation, and ensuring all required employment documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS and personnel filing systems.
- Respond to employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures, directing more complex issues to the appropriate HR team member.
- Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, status updates, and separations while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Help coordinate employee training sessions, engagement activities, recognition programs, and other HR initiatives.
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors by maintaining a professional reception area, greeting guests, and directing them to the appropriate meeting rooms or offices.
- Assist with additional HR and administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, office administration, or a similar support role.
- Basic understanding of HR practices, employment regulations, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and HRIS platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. This is a fully onsite position based in our client's Jacksonville, FL office.
