About the role

The incumbent serves as a liaison between Human Resources, Payroll, Program Management Office, Learning and Development, and internal Information Technology (IT) departments. They provide systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions, participate in requirements gathering, planning, and testing for system implementations and upgrades, and evaluate the effectiveness of HR technology systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison between Human Resources, Payroll, Program Management Office, Learning and Development, and internal Information Technology (IT) departments
  • Provides systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions
  • Participates in requirements gathering, planning, and testing for system implementations and upgrades
  • Evaluates effectiveness of HR Technology systems and makes recommendations for changes
  • PARTNERS WITH HR STAFF AND USERS TO SUPPORT THE EFFECTIVE ADMINISTRATION OF KEY HR BUSINESS PROCESSES AND SERVICES THROUGH USE OF HR TECHNOLOGY
  • Supports all types of HR and Payroll projects as subject matter expert
  • Creates, maintains and distributes routine and ad hoc reports
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents data as assigned
  • Develops standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics
  • Maintains accurate and complete work records
  • Performs general clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and records, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or closely related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant prior experience in human resources with strong HRIS experience
  • Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills

  • Knowledge of addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and/or calculating ratios, rates and percentages
  • Ability to learn the use of new tools, repair equipment, technology hardware, and software
  • Ability to gather, organize, analyze, examine or evaluate data or information and may prescribe action based on such data or information
  • Ability to provide information, guidance or assistance to people to directly facilitate task accomplishment, may give directions or assignments to helpers or assistants
  • Ability to operate or repair complex machinery or equipment that requires extended training and experience, such as computer hardware, software and network systems
  • Ability to read technical instructions, procedures, manuals and charts to solve practical problems
  • Ability to compose routine reports and specialized reports, forms and business letters with proper format
  • Ability to speak compound sentences using normal grammar and word form
  • Ability to perform skilled work involving rules/systems with almost constant problem-solving
  • Ability to perform specialized technical or entry-level professional work requiring general understanding of operating policies and procedures and their application to problems not previously encountered
  • Ability to guide others, requiring frequent decisions affecting co-workers and others who depend on the service or product
  • Works in a somewhat fluid environment with rules and procedures but with many variations from the routine
