Human Resources Analyst 9-12 - Labor Relations Section

POSITION DUTIES

This position acts as a Labor Relations Liaison, responsible for representing the Department in all matters pertaining to employee-employer relations including conducting employee investigations and advising all levels of management on addressing employee performance and misconduct issues for an assigned caseload in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Position is responsible for grievance administration, including responding to grievances and representing the Department and state’s interests in arbitration and Civil Service hearings.

Position Description

This position acts as a Labor Relations Liaison and serves as the Department’s recognized resource for the Statewide administration of the UAW contract and the Department’s labor relations policies, rules, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, and grievance administration. This position is responsible for conducting employee investigations and advising all levels of management on addressing employee performance and misconduct issues for an assigned caseload. This position is solely responsible for assigned program areas within the Department and is recognized as the expert for employee-employer relations issues for those program areas.

APPOINTMENT TYPE/BENEFITS

This position is Full-Time. Therefore, you would be eligible to participate in the benefits offered by the state.

Required Education And Experience

• Human Resources Analyst 9: No specific type or amount is required.

• Human Resources Analyst 10: One year of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 9.

• Human Resources Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 10.

• Human Resources Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst P11.
