About the role
Your responsibilities will be:
- Primary HR representative to manufacturing employees and operations management on all matters pertaining to employee coaching, conduct, and corrective action; policy interpretation and application; employment practices; and complaint resolutions.
- Research and respond to employee concerns; investigate claims and allegations, document findings, and recommend resolution.
- Be visible and available on the production floor to answer any employee questions or concerns.
- Congduct full life-cycle recruiting and any applicable pre-employment testing for production and skilled trade positions.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and attainment of AAP goals.
- Participate in in company communication meetings offering guidance and support on HR related topics.
- Collaborate with the EH&S Specialist regarding any safety concerns brought forward by employees by attending employee Accident Reviews as requested and Safety Team meetings monthly.
- Create and update HR metrics as requested.
- Answer employee questions regarding benefits and other employee programs.
- Attend company sponsored events and activities.
- Ensure personnel files and other employment records are kept in accordance with the Company’s record retention policy and applicable state/federal laws.
- Absorb any other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

- Oversee the offboarding process for any departing employees.
- Communicate with employees at all levels of the facility.
- Assist with the Company’s Employee Opinion Survey process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 2 years progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment that includes employee relations, compensation/benefits administration, training, and safety.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to employee and labor relations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to build trust and respect with employees at all levels of the facility.
- Ability to effectively and professional communicate to employees at all levels of the facility.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 2 years progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment that includes employee relations, compensation/benefits administration, training, and safety.
- Master’s in Human Resources or MBA.
- 5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience with HRIS preferably Oracle and Kronos.
