About the role

This position will assist in the planning, administration, and implementation of recycling/waste disposal programs for the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, and Eagan.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, administration, and implementation of recycling/waste disposal programs for the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, and Eagan.
• Work closely with city staff to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage and maintain records related to recycling and waste management activities.
• Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders to promote recycling and waste reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year of college or vocational school
• Working knowledge of computer work processing programs (Microsoft Office products)
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• One year or more experience in recycling and/or waste management
• Working on a degree in the environmental field

Skills

• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$12.00-$13.50 per hour, DOQ.

Schedule

(approximately 20 hrs per week)
