About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resource Specialist to join our HR team at Marquee. This role is vital in supporting daily HR operations and ensuring smooth management of employee relations, safety protocols, and administrative processes. The Human Resource Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, assisting with injury reporting, safety investigations, onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reporting and tracking work-related injuries from initial report through resolution, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
- Coordinate communication between employees, managers, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals regarding injury cases and claims.
- Support the development and implementation of return-to-work plans, accommodating employees with specific limitations or restrictions.
- Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, and recommend safety improvements to reduce future incidents.
- Help employees and managers understand and adhere to company policies, rules, and expectations.
- Assist in preparing documentation for disciplinary actions, coaching sessions, warnings, and other HR-related paperwork.
- Maintain employee files with strict confidentiality, ensuring records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
- Generate simple reports related to injuries, attendance, disciplinary actions, and turnover metrics.
- Support onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion.
- Coordinate offboarding processes when employees leave, ensuring a smooth transition and proper documentation.
- Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to quickly learn HR processes, workers' compensation procedures, and company policies.
- Experience or familiarity with workers' compensation paperwork and claim procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comfortable using computer systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
- Previous experience in HR, administrative support, or related fields is advantageous.
