Primary Responsibilities

  • Advises Warehouse Managers and employees on performance reviews, scheduling, benefits, compensation, and employee relations matters.
  • Led recruiting and retention programs to support staffing needs and reduce turnover.
  • Covers employee relations cases including disciplinary actions, investigations, and separations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations; regularly reviews and updates HR policies.
  • Facilitates the hiring process including interviews and placements where applicable.
  • Coordinates employee transfers between warehouse locations.
  • Conducts new hire onboarding and orientation sessions.
  • Supports Workers Compensation documentation and case follow-up; files incident and accident reports.
  • Upholds company hygiene and dress code policies.
  • Manages distribution of payroll documents and internal employee communications.
  • Processes payroll changes such as bonuses, raises, and adjustments; collaborates with payroll team.
  • Supports the preparation of employment verifications, management of unemployment and disability claims, and administration of leave of absence programs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform sedentary work involving sitting for extended periods, with occasional walking or standing.
  • May occasionally lift or move items up to 10 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and via written correspondence.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or operations setting.
  • A high school diploma required; relevant degree or certifications preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate computer and HRIS system knowledge recommended.

  • Proficient in calculations including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Skilled in interviewing, employee advising, data analysis, and professional correspondence.
