Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent practices with company policy/procedures and help drive HR initiatives.
- Completes and audits payroll processing.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of all HR functions including gratuities, deductions and vacation time.
- Ensures proper execution of company benefits.
- Establish “Open Door Policy.”
- Develop and implement staffing strategies that attract and retain the best talent in the industry.
- Investigate workplace problems. According to circumstances, provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to management.
- Consult with Corporate Director of Human Resources as appropriate, on personnel matters.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; and advise management on needed actions.
- Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
- Possess considerable knowledge of management-labor relations and Human Resources Management.
- The ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Human Resources management experience preferably in hospitality operations.
- Payroll experience required.
- Knowledge of EEO/AA policies, wage and hour regulations, laws and requirements involving interviewing and hiring, Title VII, HIPPA, ERISA, COBRA, ADA and FMLA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and high energy.
- Work with little supervision.
- Handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities.
- A team player who has the ability to multi-task and is self-directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Good problem solver/creative thinker.
- Proficient with excel and Outlook applications.
Qualifications
- College/University degree in Human Resources or three (3) plus years work-related experience in Human Resources, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Have knowledge of Labor Law, Insurance Law.
- Familiar with work permit & residence card.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook).
