Talent Acquisition
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all non-exempt and temporary employees.
- Works with supervisors to screen candidates.
- Extends job offers.
- Counsels new employees through onboarding.
- Conducts exit interviews.
Employee Relations
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
- Addresses employee concerns and conducts internal investigations as needed.
Benefits Administration
- Rolls out corporate HR initiatives.
- Prepares and maintains employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
- Manages employee leaves of absence (FML, STD, ADA, Workers Compensation).
- Attends business partner meetings.
- Collaborates with management.
- Develops department reports and tracking methods.
- Oversees employee engagement activities.
Quality/Safety Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with food safety, food defense, and food quality standards.
- Complies with occupational safety and health standards issued under OSHA.
Qualifications
- Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor Degree required.
- PHR or SHPR preferred.
- Minimum 7 years Human Resources experience required, manufacturing setting preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Effective leadership, training, and coaching skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
- Experience working with shift schedules.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand for extended hours.
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours.
- Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral hand and wrist movement.
- Able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to work around a variation of different smells and aromas.
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
