Human Resource Manager

Human Resource Manager Location: Troy, Michigan We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a growing organization in Troy, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working in a smaller organization and having a direct impact on employees, leadership, and day-to-day HR operations.The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded HR background and be comfortable managing a broad range of HR responsibilities, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits, payroll processing, compliance, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.HR Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience.Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization preferred.Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.Well-rounded experience with employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, compensation, and HR compliance.Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and processes.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paychex experience is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership and employees.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. HR Manager Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leadership.Partner with leadership and Operations on staffing, workforce planning, employee development, retention, and organizational needs.Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, and best practices.Coordinate payroll administration, benefits, compensation, employee changes, HRIS administration, and HR reporting.Provide guidance and support regarding employee relations, performance management, corrective action, workplace investigations, and employee separations.Manage recruiting and hiring activities, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.Coordinate employee training, development, performance evaluations, and recognition programs.Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and HR regulations.Partner with Operations regarding workplace injuries, safety incidents, and appropriate HR follow-up.Monitor HR metrics and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.Evaluate HR processes and systems and identify opportunities for improvement.Support company-wide initiatives and special HR projects as needed.Maintain a positive, professional, and employee-focused workplace environment.Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
