Human Resource Generalist

Responsibilities

  • Manage the temporary agency recruitment cycle for hourly positions.
  • Support recruitment of salaried positions when needed.
  • Support company reporting on topics such as headcount, new hires, terminations, turnover rates, and other reporting and benchmarking needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and HR-related concerns.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Aid in implementing and monitoring performance appraisal processes.
  • Assist in compensation planning.
  • Assist and/or lead off-site events such as job fairs, community events, and partner relationships.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS systems.
  • Cook up and monitor HR programs (recognition programs, service awards, etc.).
  • Cook up and coordinate HR communications.
  • Cook up and coordinate training activities for employees.
  • Support time & attendance administration.
  • Aid in developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Support benefits activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of human resource experience preferred.
  • Experience with ADP WorkForce Now a plus.
