Human Resource Generalist

Responsibilities

• Coordinates personnel matters.
• Processes daily accurate time and attendance for all employees.
• Identifies needs and refers employees to appropriate resources for training and retraining.
• Recommends and conducts performance improvement plans for employees in related departments.
• Oversees all human resources issues, including staffing, staff relations, orientation, and development.
• Directs the Human Resources Department as a resource person for the department.
• Develops and recommends human resources practices and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources.
• No specific license required.
• Experience as a Human Resources Generalist in a hospital setting preferred; or 3-5 years as a Human Resources Generalist.
• Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local registration relating to Human Resources, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA.

• Appropriate communication skills.
• Knowledge of age/disability, cultural diversity to provide emergency response, referral, and assistance for additional services.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 (depending on experience).

Pay
