SERS is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual for the Time Advisor position, offering hands-on exposure to a wide range of human resource functions. Responsibilities

  • Time and Attendance Administration: Ensure accurate processing of time, attendance, schedule changes, and related transactions; research and resolve issues; generate and monitor reports.
  • Program Coordination: Assist supervisors and managers with accurate and timely completion of Employee Performance Reviews (EPRs) and onboarding; oversee supplementary employment requests and tracking; support other HR program coordinators as needed.
  • Personnel File Maintenance: Prepare, upload, and certify electronic records to Official Personnel Files (OPFs); follow records retention procedures and policies.
  • Customer Assistance: Provide policy, procedure, and technical advice to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Receptionist Duties: Greet visitors, answer and direct telephone calls and email inquiries, handle incoming mail, and maintain office equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of clerical or comparable experience and one year of beginning-level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation.

Schedule

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
  • Work schedule between 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, inclusive, with a half-hour or one-hour unpaid meal period, dependent on operational requirements.
  • Hybrid telework opportunity: Up to three days per week from an approved location inside Pennsylvania, contingent on operational needs and task proficiency. Requires a securely configured high-speed internet connection. Telework is subject to change at any time.
