About the role
The Human Resources Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, helping ensure accurate employee records, timely HR processes, and a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Support in maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, HR documents, and electronic HRIS data.
- Primary responsibility for the recruitment and hiring process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, coordinating background checks, and assisting with new hire paperwork.
- Support in the coordination of onboarding activities, including orientation scheduling, employment forms, policy acknowledgments, and new employee communications.
- Aid in benefits administration, including enrollment support, employee communications, eligibility tracking.
- Provide payroll support when needed.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by maintaining required documentation, tracking mandatory training, and assisting with audits.
- Assist with HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, meetings, and other department priorities as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and related field experience is preferred.
- Previous administrative or human resources experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment documentation, confidentiality requirements, and employee recordkeeping is necessary.
- Hourly recruiting experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience in developing and administering employee engagement programs is preferred.
- Experience using HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, timekeeping, or Microsoft Office systems is preferred.
- A strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through are essential.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills are required.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is important.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism is crucial.
