Human Research Technologist - Social Sciences
Responsibilities
- Cooking up lab activities
- Recruiting participants to hit study goals
- Scheduling clinical assessments
- Completing assessments with participants
- Managing databases and safety protocols
- Preliminary data cleaning and management
- Implementing neuroimaging protocols
- Developing and maintaining REDCap databases
- Implementing and monitoring smartphone-based assessments
- Retaining participants in a longitudinal study
- Conducting cognitive testing
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Attention to detail and responsibility
- Experience working with human participants in a clinical or research laboratory context
- Prior experience performing clinical assessments, working with smartphone-based apps, and/or neuroimaging protocols preferred
Requirements
Minimum Education: Associate Degree
No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
Location
This position is located in State College, PA. at the University Park Campus. Work may occasionally require evening or weekend hours as needed for participant interviews or research activities.

Salary & Benefits

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
