About the role
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), College of Health and Human Development (HHD), at The Pennsylvania State University, invites applications for a Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine position at the University Park campus.
Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate the project; track project progress and prepare progress reports
- Coordinate communications across the research team regarding project-related tasks
- Coordinate recruitment and scheduling of participants
- Prepare participants for sessions and provide necessary equipment to facilitate testing
- Perform clinical screening of eligible participants and administer clinical tests as part of the study protocol
- Develop, review, and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents
- Facilitate data collection and management
- Serve as liaison with the University’s Institutional Review Board Office
- Maintain internal procedures and quality control
- Aid with team, University, and funding agency project reports
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate research assistants
Qualifications
- Excellent written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a collaborative team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Preferred Qualifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Experience working on research projects, data organization and analyses, and familiarity with IRB processes and regulatory compliance
