Hulp bij de kindermiddagen in Vlindertuin Waalre
About the opportunity
In the butterfly season – between 1 April and 1 October – there is a children's afternoon once a month in the IVN Vlindertuin Waalre, from 14:00 to 16:00. Toddlers and primary school children can explore the garden under the supervision of their own (grand)parent or other adult. Each afternoon has its own 'beestje van de maand' (animal of the month). Extra attention is paid to that animal (for example bee, bumblebee, frog, snail and of course butterfly). There is also a simple craft that the children can make in the garden and take home with them.
What you will do
The afternoons are organised by a group of butterfly garden volunteers. They take care of everything involved in the children's afternoons: planning the days, publicity, purchasing and preparing materials, explaining to children and adults during the afternoon, helping with crafts, answering questions about the garden.
