Huge Design Internship

About the role

The Industrial Design Intern will play a crucial role in our multidisciplinary team, contributing to concept development, sketching, CAD, prototyping, color-material-finish (CMF), rendering, and presentation storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to concept development and ideation sessions
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and advanced surfacing designs
• Use Rhino or Fusion 360 for modeling
• Develop strong visual communication skills through sketching, layout, storytelling, and presentation creation
• Create clear, polished, and compelling KeyShot renderings
• Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced studio environment across various project phases
• Detail-oriented, thinking through form, proportion, materials, CMF, and product specifics
• Actively participate in team discussions and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling and surfacing skills, particularly in SolidWorks
• Experience with Rhino or Fusion 360
• Exceptional visual communication skills, including sketching, layout, storytelling, and presentation development
• Proficient in KeyShot rendering
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative studio setting
• Available to work full-time in San Francisco, California
