Design Intern
Role Description
UST is seeking a designer skilled across multiple facets of the design process including storytelling, AI workflows, interaction and visual design, with an understanding of research and strategy.
Opportunity
- Conduct and support generative and evaluative user research
- Create personas, user journeys, and service blueprints
- Develop wireframes, interaction flows, and clickable prototypes
- Design high-fidelity UI aligned with brand guidelines and design systems
- Synthesize research insights into actionable recommendations
- Present design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with other designers and engineers to align vision and execution
What You Need
- Core Skills & Tools:
- UX research methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry)
- UX design (AI prototyping, IA, interaction design)
- Visual/UI design (layout, color, typography, accessibility)
- Tools:
- Figma
- Notion
- Emerging AI tools

Compensation
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Benefits
- Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
