Design Intern

Role Description

UST is seeking a designer skilled across multiple facets of the design process including storytelling, AI workflows, interaction and visual design, with an understanding of research and strategy.

Opportunity

• Conduct and support generative and evaluative user research
• Create personas, user journeys, and service blueprints
• Develop wireframes, interaction flows, and clickable prototypes
• Design high-fidelity UI aligned with brand guidelines and design systems
• Synthesize research insights into actionable recommendations
• Present design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers to align vision and execution

What You Need

• Core Skills & Tools:
• UX research methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry)
• UX design (AI prototyping, IA, interaction design)
• Visual/UI design (layout, color, typography, accessibility)

Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Benefits

• Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
• Eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
