About the role
The Heat Treat Operator – Level One is responsible for operating and supporting heat treatment processes with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy. This role involves the movement of materials using forklifts and other equipment, loading and unloading systems, managing inventory in SAP, pulling and staging stock, and maintaining accurate documentation. The operator will follow defined procedures to meet customer and internal specifications while supporting continuous improvement and smooth shift transitions.

Responsibilities
Material Handling & Forklift Operation
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods within the department.
- Load and unload skids in staging areas, storage locations, and at system entry/exit points.
- Perform visual inspections to verify part count and tag accuracy.
- Maintain organized, safe, and clearly labeled staging areas.
- Support shift transitions by ensuring next shift has appropriate stock available.
