HSE Manager

About the role

The HSE Manager oversees safety, environmental, health, and compliance issues at a designated site, fostering a “Safety First” culture and ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage incident investigations, and ensure corrective measures are taken.
• Enforce safety permits and promote employee awareness of safety and environmental policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate emergency response plans.
• Manage external interfaces such as OSHA compliance, legislation, and community relations.
• Maintain safety statistics, develop reports, and support safety documentation and systems.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and HR departments to ensure safety standards are met.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in safety management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental sciences, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in operations, maintenance, or engineering.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor staff, conduct training, and develop technical documents.
• Certifications such as OSHA are advantageous.
