What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
Shape the Vision: Design, implement, and elevate cutting-edge safety and environmental programs.
Drive GHSI (Internal Standards) Excellence: Take full ownership of reporting, measuring, and continuously improving our global safety indices.
Champion the STOP Program: Monitor and optimize company metrics to proactively prevent workplace incidents.
Build Your Team: Recruit, mentor, and train a high-performing team of safety associates.
Proactive Workplace Protection
Analyze & Optimize: Perform job analyses to measure safety policy effectiveness and creatively engineer improvements.
Identify & Remedy: Spot potential environmental, health, and safety hazards early and devise strategic solutions.
Stay Ahead: Keep the facility ahead of the curve on all state, federal, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Incident Management & Response
Lead the Response: Command on-site emergencies and facilitate our Emergency Response, Safety, and Environmental teams.
Investigate to Improve: Lead root-cause investigations for accidents to ensure they never happen again.
Care for Associates: Manage workers’ compensation recordkeeping, treating injured employees with top-tier care and follow-up.
Culture & Education
Inspire the Team: Run dynamic informational meetings and training sessions regarding safety practices.
Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as an accessible, supportive resource for all employee safety inquiries.
What We Look For (Requirements)
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of HSE experience, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (automotive experience is a major plus!).
Credentials: Proven coursework and training in occupational safety requirements and OSHA guidelines.
