HS Speech and Debate Assistant Coach - Seasonal, 2026-2027 School Year
Position Summary
Under the direction and supervision of an administrator, activity advisors shall foster the quest for excellence by assisting in creating an educational and competitive experience for students within an atmosphere of promoting high standards of competence, character, inclusivity, civility, and citizenship. Advisors shall instruct students in an academic setting which promotes learning and self-exploration within the confines of the activity.
Responsibilities

- Assist in creating an educational and competitive experience for students.
- Instruct students in an academic setting which promotes learning and self-exploration.
- Support the development of high standards of competence, character, inclusivity, civility, and citizenship among students.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of speech and debate activities and their rules.
- Experience working with high school students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits
This position and its compensation amount is contingent upon sufficient funding, ability to satisfy public health standards as determined by the District using guidance from the Governor's Office, the Oregon Health Authority and other public health authorities. This information may or may not be known prior to the selected candidate being hired to fill this position. Changes in compensation for some positions may be subject to discussions with NCEA.
