Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in interviews and hiring processes
- Orients and trains maintenance personnel
- Counsels and disciplines employees as required
- Evaluates the performance of subordinates
- Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs
- Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department's requirements
- Led employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
- Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings
- Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program
- Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets
- Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates
- Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy
- Prepares other reports as required
Qualifications
- Post-high school education is required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
- Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
- PREFERRED: Understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
- Must be at least 18 years of age
