Role Summary
The HRIS Architect provides architectural leadership, solution design, and long-term stewardship of the organization’s HRIS ecosystem. This role ensures the HRIS platform is secure, scalable, globally enabled, and aligned with HR, Payroll, Learning, Analytics, and enterprise IT strategy. The HRIS Architect leads the implementation of our Global HRIS, enhancements, and post-production operations, supporting a global, multi-country environment while partnering closely with HR, IT, Security, and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the architectural authority for the Workday platform, defining standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Lead solution design across Workday HCM Core, Security, and Reporting.
- Architect and support Workday Payroll solutions and ADP for International, including configuration, integrations, controls, and post-production support.
- Design and govern Workday Prism Analytics solutions to enable advanced workforce analytics and reporting.
- Provide architectural leadership for Learning, ensuring effective enablement and integration with talent processes.
- Architect solutions to support global, multi-country HR and Payroll environments, ensuring compliance with localization, regulatory, data privacy, and security requirements.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to enforce role-based access and audit readiness.
- Lead medium to large-scale HRIS implementation through the full lifecycle. Support post-production with MSP operations to ensure platform stability and continuous improvement.
- Work with internal Global Business Service to ensure a service platform (Freshworks) is available for HRIS requests and services.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing strategic architecture and hands-on delivery. Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery with minimal supervision.
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders. Lead design workshops, architecture reviews, and solution decision forums.
- Build strong internal partnerships and maintain a value-driven, customer-focused mindset.
- Establish and maintain architectural documentation and governance standards. Stay current with Workday releases and proactively identify improvement opportunities. Adapt quickly to evolving priorities and organizational change.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading or supporting Workday implementations and AMS services.
- 2–3+ years of experience in a Workday Architect or equivalent senior role.
- Deep expertise in Workday HCM Core, Security, and Reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll.
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
- Proven success delivering medium to large, multi-module, global Workday, or equivalent programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication and consulting skills.
