About the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support people strategy and day-to-day human resources operations for an organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping strengthen workplace practices, improve employee experience, and align HR initiatives with business needs. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in employee relations, HR administration, benefits support, and systems knowledge, with the ability to contribute both strategically and operationally.
Responsibilities
- Advise managers and employees on workplace matters, resolving concerns with sound judgment and a consistent approach to employee relations.
- Oversee core HR administrative activities, ensuring records, documentation, and personnel processes are accurate, organized, and compliant.
- Support benefits-related processes by assisting with employee questions, enrollment activities, and coordination with internal or external partners.
- Maintain and utilize HRIS tools to manage employee data, generate reports, and improve the efficiency of HR workflows.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
- Analyze HR trends and operational needs to recommend practical solutions that strengthen policies, processes, and team effectiveness.
- Contribute to the implementation and communication of HR programs, policies, and initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure HR services are delivered professionally and in alignment with business priorities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and the ability to handle sensitive workplace matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Background in HR administration, including employee documentation, policy support, and day-to-day human resources operations.
- Working knowledge of benefits processes and the ability to assist with employee benefit-related inquiries and administration.
- Experience using HRIS platforms to manage data, support reporting, and maintain accurate employee information.
- Understanding of HR strategy and the ability to align human resources practices with broader business objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across leadership and employee groups.
- Highly organized approach with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
