About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Technology Global Talent Portfolio Manager with deep expertise in Global Talent systems and processes, including performance, talent reviews, succession, goals, skills, development planning, internal mobility, and recruiting experience tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end technology roadmap and prioritization for Global Talent, Listening, and Learning technology solutions.
  • Balance strategic initiatives, regulatory needs, enhancements, and operational support within the portfolio.
  • Lead demand intake, assess complexity and dependencies, and align priorities with HR COEs and enterprise strategy.
  • Drive major initiatives within the portfolio from planning through deployment and stabilization.
  • Design, review, and approve the most complex Workday configurations and cross-domain solutions, particularly across Talent, Performance, Skills, Goals, Succession, Reviews, and Talent Insights.
  • Partner with technical teams on integrations, security, data flows, and overall system integrity.
  • Lead Workday leads and analysts within the portfolio; assign work, provide functional guidance, and ensure quality.
  • Review and approve configuration, testing artifacts, documentation, and release readiness.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to elevate technical expertise and delivery consistency across the team.
  • Ensure work aligns with governance standards, design principles, and user experience expectations.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to Talent Management, Recruiting, Learning, and Listening HR COEs.
  • Translate business strategy into clear technical direction and ensure alignment across interconnected systems.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex portfolio decisions and cross-domain dependencies.
  • Provide functional oversight and guidance for career mobility (Fuel50), candidate experience and automation (Paradox), and global learning delivery (SumTotal).
  • Ensure seamless integration and consistent user experience across platforms.
  • Govern data standards, skills taxonomy, and process alignment across the talent ecosystem.
  • Oversee Workday release management for Global Talent solutions, including feature evaluation, regression planning, testing strategy, and adoption.
  • Evaluate new Workday features, SKUs, and emerging technologies relevant to Global Talent; recommend adoption where value exists.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, data quality, system performance, and user experience.
  • Ensure solution integrity, UX quality, compliance, and adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Provide external insights, benchmarking, and thought leadership within the Global Talent technology space.
  • Stay current on HR technology trends, Workday innovations, and evolving talent practices.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and modernize talent processes at scale.
  • Champion user-centric design and data-driven decision making across the portfolio.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start).
    • Eight (8) years of HR Technology experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
    • Five (5) years of Workday configuration experience in Talent, Performance, Succession, Skills, or related modules in a private, public, government or military environment.
    • Advanced Workday Talent configuration expertise (Performance, Talent, Goals, Skills, Succession).
    • Experience with Fuel50, Paradox, SumTotal, and/or Workday Learning.
    • Workday Pro certification preferred.
    • Strong portfolio, project, and vendor management experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence HR leaders and senior stakeholders.
    • Experience leading, mentoring, or performing quality oversight for analysts or delivery teams.
    • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications

    $188,251 - $230,084

    Schedule

    On-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
