Job Duties

  • Executes and audits work transactions and changes adhering to established policies and procedures to meet anticipated deadlines
  • Receives, responds to, and resolves employee questions and problems
  • Independently facilitate institution-wide programs in specialty areas based upon skills, interest, and expertise
  • Represents unit/program at institutional workshops, informational meetings, and training sessions
  • Provides advice and consultation, performs transactional activities, maintains personnel files, develops communications and materials, and facilitates training for assigned group(s) through various mediums for HR activities across the entire employee career lifecycle
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, interpretation, and revision of work unit Human Resources policies and procedures according to institutional and legal rules and regulations

Key Job Responsibilities

Guides the HR Talent Partners to foster an inclusive, people-centered culture that empowers employees to thrive, strengthens organizational effectiveness, and advances the university’s vision of being a catalyst for innovation and regional growth.

Department Human Resources Compensation

Minimum compensation of $53,125. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience at time of application
  • Experience in human resources or related field
  • Working knowledge of desktop hardware and business software programs (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience utilizing a Human Resources Information System (e.g. PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.)
  • Public speaking and/or training experience
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a proven ability to build, maintain, and strengthen professional relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or similar work environment
  • Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida
  • Experience using sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, policies and/or procedures
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality and high standards of ethics and fairness in the execution of position responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting organizational efforts to create and nurture an engaging and welcoming work community
  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive business outcomes

Conditions Of Appointment

  • Some travel required for necessary meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.
  • The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.
  • This position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.
