HR Supervisor

About the role

Assist in administration and adherence to company policies and procedures, and resolution of employee relation issues. Support managers and supervisors with disciplinary matters, recruitment, candidate interviews, required training, employee investigations, and I-9 audits. Provide assistance with managing unemployment claims, appeals, and hearings. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment law. Compile and analyze turnover, retention, and absenteeism data, assisting the HR Manager in developing and implementing retention and attendance procedures and plans. Compile and distribute HR reports as needed. Perform all other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or other closely related field preferred.
• 2+ years of HR and employee relations experience; preferable within a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment law (e.g., Title VII, EEOC, ADA, FMLA).
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Strong technology and computer skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
• Frequently sit for long periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• May be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO₂, and moving production lines.
• May be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
