About the Role
Assist in HR administration, ensuring policy compliance and resolving employee relations issues. Support managers with disciplinary actions, recruitment, interviewing, and conducting employee training, investigations, and I-9 audits. Manage unemployment claims, appeals, and hearings, and ensure adherence to employment laws. Analyze turnover, retention, and attendance data to aid in developing retention strategies. Compile and distribute HR reports and perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or similar in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- At least 2+ years of HR and employee relations experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., Title VII, EEOC, FMLA).
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficient with HR technology tools.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
Physical & Work Environment
- Office setting within a manufacturing plant.
- Frequent sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to noise, CO2, wet/cold environments, and raw animal odors.
- Work around live or raw animals and production equipment.
