Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting activities from intake through hiring, including coordinating postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and supporting selection decisions.
- Administer onboarding tasks to help new employees transition smoothly into their roles while maintaining accurate personnel records.
- Support employee relations matters by responding to questions, documenting issues, and helping ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Care for coordination and tracking of general liability and workers’ compensation claims, working with internal stakeholders to maintain documentation and follow required processes.
- Maintain and update HR information in internal systems, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and handled with appropriate confidentiality.
- Partner with teams across areas such as technology, finance, accounting, marketing, and legal to address hiring and human resources needs.
- Aid in HR administration in a municipal or government environment, ensuring activities align with applicable regulations and organizational standards.
- Prepare reports, status updates, and other HR documentation to support workforce planning and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in human resources, with background in roles such as HR Specialist, HR Analyst, or HR Technician.
- Practical experience managing recruitment activities and supporting day-to-day HR operations.
- Familiarity with employee relations processes, onboarding, and HR administration best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms; knowledge of NeoGov is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of workers’ compensation, general liability claims, or other risk-related HR processes.
- Prior experience in a government, municipal, or other public sector setting is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion, including work in regulated environments such as HIPAA-related settings.
