HR Shared Services Specialist (Contract)
Airbus Commercial is looking for a HR Shared Services Specialist (Contract) to join our Human Resources team in one of the following locations: Grand Prairie, TX; Herndon, VA; Mobile, AL; Wichita, KS; Atlanta, GA; or Miami, FL.
About the Role
The HR Shared Services Specialist (Contract) will deliver world-class employee experiences by supporting Airbus team members through key interactions with North America Human Resources & Workplace Shared Services. This role handles service delivery via phone, chat, and case management tools, while also supporting corporate HR responsibilities and collaborating closely with corporate HR functions.
Responsibilities
- Operational and Administrative Support (30%):
- Support operational and administrative processes for personnel actions involving employees, temps, and interns.
- Act as a liaison for data and information between HRBPs, HRIS, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and expatriation activities.
- Provide and analyze data for reporting purposes.
- Assist with annual HR cycles, including performance reviews and open enrollment.
- Manage projects through completion, defining scope, objectives, outcomes, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with national and international teams to deliver projects.
- Process and promote Airbus Employee Awards.
- People Operations (30%):
- Ensure 100% data integrity in HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, and e-Verify.
- Manage onboarding processes for new employees, transfers, expats, and employee changes, including Workday updates, I-9 administration, and ServiceNow tickets.
- Perform termination administration, ensuring accurate data entry and communication to relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates in HR systems.
- Record and update employee data in Workday (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, transfers, corrections, work schedules).
- Respond to Personnel Administration inquiries and resolve concerns.
- Provide support and guidance on HR tools to HRBPs and employees.
- Employee Experience (35%):
- Deliver first-class customer service to employees via phone, live chat, and case management channels.
- Support a positive culture and employee experience at Airbus.
- Assist with employee engagement, Employee Resource Group activities, and recognition programs, including service awards.
- Coordinate employment offer activities.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including facilitating new hire orientations.
- Provide initial communication and responses to employee HR-related questions, redirecting or escalating as needed.
- Field questions about the leave process.
- Other Duties (5%):
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of practical experience in Human Resources.
- Experience working with IT systems and data.
- Ability to manage multiple employee requests simultaneously.
- Experience communicating with employees via chat, in-person, and phone.
- Working knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking systems, particularly ADP or Workday.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Up to 20% domestic travel.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements
- Vision: Daily ability to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: Daily ability to hear conversations in person, via teleconference or phone, and production floor sounds, including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: Daily ability to speak in conversations, meetings, and communications.
- Equipment Operation: Daily use of personal computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and electronic identification cards for building access.
- Carrying: Several times a week, ability to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
- Lifting: Several times a week, ability to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: Several times a week, ability to push and pull small office furniture, equipment, and tools.
- Sitting: Daily ability to sit for long periods during meetings or computer work.
- Squatting/Kneeling: Several times a month, ability to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving.
- Standing: Daily ability to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
- Walking: Daily ability to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces. Appropriate hearing/eye protection may be required on the shop floor.
- Travel: Rare ability to travel independently and at short notice.
- Work Environment: 80% onsite, 20% remote.
Pay
Salary range: $28.00 - $34.00/hour. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, location, and other relevant factors.

Schedule
This is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but may be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a third-party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
