About the role
The HR and Safety Coordinator supports human resources functions while promoting and maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting administration: Posting positions to various job sites, screening candidates, and drug testing and background check administration.
- Conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews.
- Aiding in timekeeping responsibilities.
- Training administration: Recordkeeping and conducting in-person training.
- Aiding in coordinating special events.
- Preparing and maintaining a variety of routine to moderately complex reports for management.
- Engaging, implementing, and communicating with plant employees and leadership on best practices as it pertains to HR and Safety.
- Attending training and educational seminars as appropriate to learn regulatory requirements.
- Visibly demonstrating a personal commitment to safety and the safety of all employees and contractors.
- Absorbing and correcting hazardous conditions as required.
- Completing other special projects or tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment (previous experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus).
- Organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn.
- Accountable and self-motivated.
- Customer service-oriented and professional.
- Able to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Committed to producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable using Microsoft applications.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in Human resources, recruiting, administration, safety or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- PREFERRED: PHR Certification.
- PREFERRED: Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Pay
$32 - $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who bring extensive related experience, strong technical knowledge, and skills that closely match the needs of the position.
Schedule
Fully onsite position. Monday – Friday; although there may be the occasional need for weekend work. The working day is expected to be 7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM.
