HR/Recruiting Intern

About the role

BBI is looking for a hardworking, confident, and task-oriented student looking to gain HR/Recruiting experience. As an HR/Recruiting Intern at BBI, you will acquire practical experience in the Talent Acquisition and HR field while collaborating with our Transportation Team. Our summer internship program is designed to enhance your knowledge of Recruiting processes and refine your professional skill set.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Learn the full cycle recruiting process from sourcing to assessing to offering a candidate
• Shadow and work alongside our recruiting team throughout the summer
• Develop sourcing skills by identifying and connecting with potential candidates, crafting and sending eye-catching outreach messages to spark interest and build relationships
• Learn and use FMCSA/DOT requirements and rules for hiring
• Review candidate applications to assess qualifications and determine next steps in the hiring process based on role requirements and organizational needs
• Engage in phone screenings and in-person interviews, progressing to conducting your own screenings as responsibilities grow
• Participate in weekly interview meetings with leadership, offering insights on each candidate’s ability for the role
• Showcase your portfolio project, highlighting your accomplishments from your summer role, and present it effectively to leadership
• Collaborate with your fellow interns by participating in volunteer activities and company outings

• Junior and Senior undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to work in office as this internship does not offer remote opportunities
