This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional who is excited to build strong operational foundations, support employees throughout their lifecycle, and grow within a fast-paced music and technology company. This role is based in our New York, NY office and follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one day remote. The HR Coordinator will report directly to the HR / People Generalist.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR / People Generalist with day-to-day HR operations and people initiatives.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, team events, and culture programming that reflect Too Lost’s company culture.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee records in our HRIS and personnel files.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including preparing documentation, coordinating system access, supporting new-hire orientation, and ensuring timely completion of required paperwork.
- Help respond to routine employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, time off, and other people-related processes, escalating sensitive or complex matters as appropriate.
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of employee policies, procedures, handbooks, and HR documentation.
- Support performance-management cycles by coordinating timelines, tracking completion, preparing materials, and maintaining related records.
- Help coordinate employee training, development programs, team events, and engagement initiatives.
- Prepare recurring HR reports, audit data for accuracy, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce administrative burden.
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support additional HR projects and administrative priorities as the team grows.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in human resources, people operations, office administration, or a related role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is welcome.
- Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, applicant-tracking, or benefits platforms is helpful; experience with SequoiaOne is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with HR practices, employee documentation, benefits, and employment-law compliance.
- An eagerness to learn, take ownership, and contribute ideas for improving how the People team supports employees.
- Sound judgment and a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and document management.
