About the role

Merit Landscape Solutions is seeking an experienced, hands‑on HR Partner to support teams across Texas. The role involves building trust quickly, staying organized in a fast‑moving environment, and supporting field‑based teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR support across five branches and ensure people processes run smoothly and consistently.
• Partner with branch leadership on recruiting, critical staffing needs, and workforce planning.
• Support employee relations and help leaders navigate day‑to‑day people matters.
• Process and support payroll activities.
• Coordinate with Benefits Administration to support new‑hire onboarding and assist with annual open enrollment and employee benefit communications.
• Coordinate employee surveys and support follow‑up initiatives.
• Execute company‑wide and local HR programs.
• Maintain accurate employee information in ADP and prepare HR reports.
• Provide local administrative support across the Houston branches.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable employment requirements and company policies.
• Travel to local branches as needed to build relationships and provide hands‑on HR support.

Qualifications

• HR Generalist, HR Partner, or comparable hands‑on HR experience.
• Experience with recruiting, employee relations, payroll, onboarding, and HR administration.
• Experience supporting multiple locations, branches, or field‑based teams (preferred).
• Spanish‑speaking required.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with employee data and reporting.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Ability to work in‑office and travel locally to branches as needed.
• Experience with ADP (preferred).
• H‑2B program experience (preferred).
