The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm seeking an HR Operations Specialist for a prominent client in Richmond, VA 23231.

About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an HR Generalist / HR Coordinator to support a busy manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. This is a hands-on role supporting hourly production employees and plant leadership across a variety of Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, partnering with employees and leaders, and helping drive a positive workplace culture while ensuring efficient day-to-day HR operations. This position offers excellent exposure to all aspects of Human Resources and has strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily HR operations for a manufacturing workforce
  • Coordinate recruiting activities for production and hourly employees
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation
  • Assist with attendance tracking, timekeeping, and payroll coordination
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to support employee relations and people initiatives
  • Assist with employee engagement programs and internal communications
  • Participate in HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate HR records while ensuring confidentiality
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. employment laws

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Administration experience
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other operational environment strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, timekeeping, and HR compliance
  • Understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using HRIS systems is a plus

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

Pay

$26-$30/hour

Duration: 6-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Permanent Hire
