About The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an HR Generalist / HR Coordinator to support a busy manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. This is a hands-on role supporting hourly production employees and plant leadership across a variety of Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, partnering with employees and leaders, and helping drive a positive workplace culture while ensuring efficient day-to-day HR operations. This position offers excellent exposure to all aspects of Human Resources and has strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Support daily HR operations for a manufacturing workforce
- Coordinate recruiting activities for production and hourly employees
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation
- Assist with attendance tracking, timekeeping, and payroll coordination
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Partner with HR Business Partners to support employee relations and people initiatives
- Assist with employee engagement programs and internal communications
- Participate in HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate HR records while ensuring confidentiality
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. employment laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Administration experience
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other operational environment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, timekeeping, and HR compliance
- Understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using HRIS systems is a plus

Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Pay
$26-$30/hour
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Permanent Hire
