Little League International in South Williamsport, PA is seeking a full-time HR Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day administration and operations of the Human Resources department in a nonprofit youth sports organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee changes such as hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and separations while maintaining accurate employee records and personnel files.
  • Prepare HR documentation and support employee inquiries.
  • Process HR system transactions and assist with audits and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Lead accurate and timely payroll processing, assist with payroll audits and reconciliations, support tax and year-end processes, and partner with Finance on payroll-related requirements.
  • Administer employee benefit enrollments and changes, assist employees with benefit questions, support open enrollment, and help coordinate leave programs.
  • Maintain employee information in HR technology systems, conduct system audits, generate HR reports, troubleshoot system issues, and support technology upgrades and process improvements.
  • Ensure HR data remains accurate, confidential, and compliant.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, HR operations, or administrative experience.
  • Experience working with HRIS and/or payroll systems required.
  • Experience supporting benefits administration and HR compliance activities preferred.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, training administration, or employee records management preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, payroll administration, and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee and organizational information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow through on responsibilities and deadlines.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a 35-hour work week, core hours of Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during certain times of the year.
