Job Overview We're looking for a strategic and people-focused HR Operations Specialist with 3–5 years of experience to serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across the organization. This role goes beyond coordination — you'll own key HR processes, drive operational excellence, and partner directly with the business on people decisions. Ideal for a self-starter who thinks strategically, communicates with confidence, and uses data and systems (like ADP) to elevate the employee experience and inform smart HR decisions. Key Responsibilities Support core HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS maintenanceManage and maintain employee data in ADP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrityGenerate reports and analyze HR metrics (turnover, headcount, time-to-hire) to inform decision-makingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policiesServe as a trusted point of contact for employee questions on HR policies and processesOwn and continuously improve HR workflows across the employee lifecycleConduct regular audits and maintain compliance documentation (I-9s, acknowledgments, etc.)Support benefits administration, including enrollments and vendor coordinationCreate and maintain SOPs, HR documentation, and knowledge resourcesAssist in optimizing HR systems, tools, and automationCoordinate audits and ensure readiness for compliance reviewsIdentify process gaps and drive efficiency improvements across HR operationsSupport compensation administration, including job evaluations, salary reviews, and pay band alignmentLead policy development and updates, ensuring alignment with current employment law and company directionSupport organizational change initiatives and serve as a key communicator of HR changes to employees and managersFacilitate new hire orientation, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and brand-aligned experience — not just logisticsPartner on open enrollment strategy and drive employee benefits communication to support informed decision-making Qualifications: High integrity with the ability to handle confidential informationStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailProven ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAnalytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisionsAbility to work effectively in a multi-site, virtual environmentKnowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (ADP preferred)Growth-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and team developmentPHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred or actively in progress)Experience with compensation tools or salary benchmarking platforms This position will have a base pay between $55,000 - $65,000 annually and will be eligible for up to a 5% annual performance bonus. The position is remote but strong preference for candidates in the Charlotte, NC area.
