HR Operations Lead

Position Summary We're looking for an HR Operations Lead to own and run the people infrastructure behind our rapid growth. This person will take ownership of our core HR programs end to end — from HRIS and compliance to benefits and employee relations — and be the steady, trusted point of contact for every employee and manager at Walden. You'll bring structure and care to a fast-moving environment, and you'll help make our existing HR foundation more robust and scalable. Core Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters across the companyOwn and maintain our HRIS (Rippling), ensuring accurate records, clean data hygiene, and well-organized personnel filesManage benefits administration and serve as the internal partner to our external broker, including employee education and open enrollmentEnsure ongoing compliance across HR programs — multi-state employment law, required postings, recordkeeping — and support audits as neededGuide managers on employee relations best practices, including performance issues, disciplinary matters, and workplace grievances or disputesOwn the employee offboarding process end to endAct as the liaison between employees needing immigration support and outside legal counselPartner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless handoff from recruiting into onboardingStrengthen and scale our existing HR operations programs, policies, and processes to support the company's continued growthManage relationships with HR vendors and consultants supporting the functionDirectly manage the HR Coordinator, once hired, to support transactional HR operations volume Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in HR generalist or HR operations rolesHands-on experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling experience a strong plusWorking knowledge of employment law and multi-state HR compliance requirementsExperience with benefits administration and broker partnershipsStrong communicator, comfortable connecting with a wide range of people across the companyHighly organized and self-directed, with sound judgment on when to escalate Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR or a related fieldSHRM or HCI certificationPrior experience in a high-growth startup environmentInterest or exposure to robotics/hardware companies Walden Robotics offers a competitive total compensation program, including salary, annual cash bonus, company equity, company-subsidized insurance programs, 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, daily lunch, and other benefits.
